It’s Chocolate Week this week, and there seemed no better way to start it than tasting some top-class treats at William Curley’ new pop up in St.Martins Lane Hotel, Covent Garden. William Curley has been awarded Britain’s Best Chocolatier by the Academy of Chocolate for five consecutive years, and this simplistic, stylish pop up will be selling a selection of his chocolate creations until New Years, plus offer visitors a chance to sit, relax, soak in the smells and sip on a hot chocolate.
After trying some of his incredible products I had a clear favourite, the Chocolate Sea Salt and Caramel tart. The delicate little tart had a discreet hazelnut flavour, a smooth silky rich chocolate ganache and a cutting tart berry which all just melted on your tongue. Finished off with a lovely hint of sea salt and I was in heaven. Pop down to St.Martins lane to try some yourself and look out for their chocolate masterclasses coming soon.
Yum! Salted caramel tarts are one of my favourite puds ever…I’ve never had anything made by William Curley but think I need to remedy this very soon :-)
